Vineyard Kenya is a family of churches that are part of the Vineyard Movement.

The Vineyard Movement was born out of a move of God in the 1970s, distinctly marked by passionate worship, kingdom theology, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, culturally relevant mission and acts of mercy and justice.

In Kenya, what was once a small women’s Bible study group, as it grew and began to encounter the Holy Spirit, joined to the Vineyard in 1996. There are now 40+ Vineyard churches in Kenya and 2,500+ around the world.

Vineyard Kenya seeks to plant and facilitate the planting of Vineyard churches that will be communities of discipleship, equipping followers of Jesus to be like Jesus and do the things Jesus did in their everyday lives in acts of mercy, justice, love, sharing the Good News and participating in the renewal of our nation by lifting up the name of Jesus. To see God’s Kingdom come in Kenya as it is in Heaven.

Vineyard Global Council 2025

The National Directors of the Vineyard Movements met this week. These meetings are a time of prayer, encouragement. And also discerning what the Lord is doing around the world.

Around the world, God is moving from underground churches in places with great persecution to the street of New York and Nairobi.

We pray for our Vineyard family in Myanmar as they recover and respond to the devastation of the earthquake.

Even more we continue to pray, Come Holy Spirit.

Day 1 has Kicked off. Lord we ask for more.

Remember the poor
Don’t build your own kingdom
Preach only the gospel and only the gospel
Pray for the sick and cast out demons

Build a place of worship and prayer
It’s about God’s Kingdom
Build a city of refuge
It’s about God’s people
Build a city on a heal
that’s the only true beauty
God has seen your ministry,
now stand back and let Him show you His

This past week was a beautiful next step in dreaming about possibilities of how to join others like @compassioninternational_kenya , @compassion , @convoyofhope and @vineyardusa in what God is doing in our nation to show mercy and bring God’s restorative justice.

Lavington Vineyard Church is hiring a Lead Pastor. This is an opportunity to minister to an international, multicultural, English-speaking egalitarian church in Nairobi, Kenya. Lavington Vineyard Church (LVC) was planted in April 2014 and is part of the Association of Vineyard Churches-Kenya (AVC). The congregation, approx. 250 adults and 150 children and youth each Sunday, is a multicultural blend of people from various denominational backgrounds who seek to follow Christ in the midst of daily life through building a culture of disciple-making. Worship Leaders Gathering
Are you involved in leading worship in your local church? You are invited to gather with others like you to worship together, receive some teaching, and get some skills sharpening.   We can’t wait to first, just be at the feet of Jesus together and then be more equipped for the yeses we have made.

Coaching Workshop: Day 2
How much more will the Father pour out His Spirit to those who ask.

So grateful for how God has been kind and generous over the last 2 days.

Eunice is passionate about social justice, particularly in sexual exploitation and human trafficking. In October 2018, Eunice returned home to Kenya after 12 years of studying and working in the UK, dreaming of making a social impact in Nairobi. Eunice has extensive experience working with survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence and women in prostitution.

Drawing on over 35 years of experience in senior leadership roles in the UK health and charity sectors, John loves to invest in new generations of leaders and is a certified Vineyard Churches coach. Over the past ten years, God has stirred a passion in John for developing multicultural church culture and for investing in cross-cultural friendships. As part of this, he is a member of the Missions Team of Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland with particular responsibility for co-ordinating VCUKI’s partnership work in sub-Saharan Africa.

Coaching is the process of coming alongside a person or team to help them discover God’s agenda for their life and ministry, and then cooperating with the Holy Spirit to see that agenda become a reality.
Coaching is very different from mentoring. It allows those we are walking with to be in the driver’s seat with God instead of us. We just get to powerfully partner with God in helping them navigate different steps, options, and callings. Anyone can do it and it can be applied across many different areas of life.

In this episode, we interview Eunice Njeri Mathu. She is part of Renewal Vineyard and the founder of Rejesha Project Nairobi. Here she tells the story of the Rejesha Project, a grassroots organization whose purpose is to restore hope and dignity to women and girls in prostitution and where possible, help those who seek to permanently leave prostitution through access to alternative work options.
